The process includes torching the log, a Japanese wood burning technique called Shou-Sugi-Ban. Topped with a leather/suede shag cushion, these accent pieces create an eclectic style.

These bar stools were customized for each client. They are based on Andrea Wendel's sculptures from the "The Crown Series". They were inspired by African textures, textiles and adornments. Each stool is made from one solid aspen tree, hand carved juxtaposing textures and layers. The foot rests are applied, and the cushions are on a swivel.
