Changing Lives, One Scarf at a Time.

January 25, 2017 Andrea Wendel

Handcrafted from Kyrgyzstan
The global movement to connect artists from the developing world
to worldwide customers contributes to a sustainable way of life.
Aidai Asangulova makes one of a kind textiles
by fusing felt and hand woven silk.
There is no stitching in her textiles: the threads of silk and wool
are joined by using a seamless hand-rolling technique.

Aidai's work also exemplifies a cross-cultural fusion,
combining the felt-making traditions of Kyrgyz nomads
with the silk-making traditions of the settled Uzbek people.
She has worked to recreate forgotten techniques.
She trains village women to make traditional,
but sophisticated products

It means joining a global partnership of people
who believe in one world,
the power of women working together
and the inspiration of beautiful things.

 These one-of-a-kind, exquisite textiles,are unique
and will elevate your your style.
There is more joy when purchasing
something handcrafted,
with a story.

"Live Creatively"
