Sculptured Doors Can Transform A Room

As an artist, I always look for opportunities to infuse my creativity into everyday objects.
Doors have always fascinated me.
They not only act as a threshold between two spaces but
can also be a big canvas adding a fantastic design element to a room.
Sculptural doors, in particular, are a perfect combination of art and function.
With a custom design,
a sculptural door is a statement piece that can
transform an ordinary room into an extraordinary space.

When it comes to sculptural doors, the possibilities are endless.
From abstract patterns to intricately carved designs, there's no limit to what you can create.
For me, the key is to blend the design with the surroundings.
I opted for a white-on-white finish so the shadows create the tones.
The gentle curves brought a touch of softness to the room.
The intentional design of the doors was continuous and deliberate.

While it should be a focal point,
it shouldn't take away from everything else in the room.
One approach I like to take is to create a design that's subtle from afar
but reveals its details upon closer inspection.

In this case, the barn door application has two purposes.
I love how it acts as a sculptural piece of art, smoothly gliding on the wall. Plus,
it saves space in the room since
it doesn't require extra clearance for opening and closing a door.
These doors lead to the walk-in closet and the master bath.
I love how they integrate and operate (smoothly and with a soft close) while adding more space to the room.

The design possibilities are endless and with the right approach,
it can become the centerpiece of any room.
Creating sculptural doors gives me the opportunity to blend
my passion for design with functionality.
