Who had more fun? Me or my Mentees?

The school year is almost over. I will miss my girls.
Ela my 6th grader from the Aspen Middle School was soooo into her project,
learning the benefits of custom made, thru her own need for a bedside table.
From scale, colors and design , her enthusiasm was priceless.

Sarah came to me thru ART BASE in Basalt, Colorado.
With amazing community out-reach programs, classes and exhibitions,
ART BASE touches everyone’s heart thru art.

Sarah was one of the applicants for the program.
Her passions blend physics and art.
For her exhibition she created 3 large scale pieces as
meditations of light, time and space.
In her words…
“ The mentorship program has allowed me to
challenge myself as an artist in creative ways I would never before felt possible.”

She was comfortable to push boundaries and explore .
and that was my job. And my joy.

I am so proud of these girls.
Mentoring changes lives (mine included).
Mentoring builds confidence,
and confidence helps us make better life choices, see options, and problem solve.

Til Next Time,
“Live Creatively”
xx
Andrea
