"Tribal Close and Loose" Hand-Crafted Stools
Close and Loose Tribal Aspen Seats are made of repurposed fallen, dead aspen trees from Aspen, Colorado. The carved design is inspired by African textiles. The process includes torching the log, a Japanese wood burning technique called Shou-Sugi-Ban. Topped with a leather/suede shag cushion, these accent pieces create an eclectic style.

This custom bench was created for an Aspen, Colorado client, adding contemporary elements to update their mountain retreat. The hammered steel base and red croc/cow hide, mixed well with their contemporary art collection. Bringing a cohesive design to their foyer.

These custom Aspen Seats were created for a design firm's client in Arizona. The wood grain shows beautifully through this dark brown, semi gloss finish. Leather/suede shag was used for the cushion. Aspen Seats are made of repurposed fallen, dead aspen trees from Aspen, Colorado. The turquoise stones were inlayed for friendship and a peaceful home.

Hand-Made Aspen Log Bar Stools
These bar stools were customized for each client. They are based on Andrea Wendel's sculptures from the "The Crown Series". They were inspired by African textures, textiles and adornments. Each stool is made from one solid aspen tree, hand carved juxtaposing textures and layers. The foot rests are applied, and the cushions are on a swivel. The aspen logs were repuposed from fallen, dead aspen trees from Aspen, Colorado.
